History and Evolution:
The Raichur District Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a testament to the indomitable spirit and united efforts of the business community in Raichur and its surroundings. Rooted in the 1980s, a period of prosperity and diversity, our Chamber’s story begins with a visionary, Mr. Mallikarjuna Dotarabandi. Recognizing the need for a unified voice for traders and entrepreneurs, he convened a meeting in 1985 that marked the birth of our journey.
Under the guidance of Late Shri Jawahar Jain, the “Adhoc Committee” was formed, composed of representatives from various associations. This committee painstakingly drafted a foundational “Bylaw” that provided the Chamber with a strong framework that remains relevant to this day.
Challenges and Triumphs:
Throughout its history, the Chamber has been a vocal advocate for traders and entrepreneurs. From addressing electricity challenges to municipal tax issues and spearheading infrastructure development, our Chamber has been at the forefront of securing favorable conditions for the business community.
Leadership and Growth:
From its inception, the Chamber has been led by exceptional individuals who have carried forward its mission with dedication. Names like Shri Parasamal Sukhani, Sri Mallikarjuna Dotarabandi, Sri Ashoka Kumar Verma, and Sri Konda Krishnamurthy have guided the Chamber through periods of growth and challenges.
A Beacon of Unity:
The emblem of the Chamber, featuring symbols representing Raichur’s heritage and progress, encapsulates our commitment to unity and progress. The Stone elephant, cotton, weighing machine, and the tower of Shaktinagar thermal power plant remind us of our history and aspirations.
